David Grebstad

David Grebstad was born in Dryden, Ontario and has served as an officer in the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery for over thirty years with operational tours of duty in Afghanistan, Italy and Egypt.

He is a graduate of the University of Manitoba, the University of New Brunswick and the Royal Military College of Canada, as well as the Canadian Army Command and Staff College, and the Joint Command and Staff Program of the Canadian Forces College.

He is a qualified Instructor-in-Gunnery and had the very great honor to command Y “Forward Observer/JTAC” Battery of the 2nd Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery.

An avid amateur historian, he has been published in several peer-reviewed academic journals, often writing on the history of the Canadian Artillery at war.

He and his wife, Colleen, a Health Services Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, reside in Ottawa. 

David Grebstad’s book “Iron Indignation” will be available in 2023.
