John Sliz was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and has been reading about World War II since he was a young boy. His first book was published by Service Publications in 2006 and three years later Vanwell Publishing published The Storm Boat Kings, which tells the story of the evacuation of the British airborne from Arnhem. Since then he has written numerous books on the engineers of World War II, four novels, and four travel books. He lives in Oshawa, Ontario where he works on another book while he isn’t busy playing drums in the rock band, Marathon 85.
