Robyn-Rose May

Robyn was born in Sudbury, Ontario in June 1962 and lived there until joining the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) as a Vehicle Technician. Prior to joining the CAF, she graduated from Cambrian College with a diploma in Journalism. After two years of service, she remustered to become an Aero-Engine Technician and worked most of her career in Search and Rescue squadrons across Canada. Her service took her from British Columbia to Newfoundland and everywhere in between.

Robyn’s love of history began as a child, hearing stories from her family and reading numerous books. She has travelled the battlefields of Europe extensively and visited numerous graves of Canadian nursing sisters.

She enjoyed playing all sports growing up and especially loved, and excelled at, hockey and fastball. She is currently a volunteer at the National Air Force Museum of Canada, where she works restoring Second World War aircraft.
